The role of the Edit Producer is central to factual and factual entertainment shows but expert training for this pivotal role is all too rare. Discover all the key aspects of this role and set yourself apart - ready to step into an edit with confidence.

This 2 day course addresses that skills gap with engaging, interactive sessions, delivered by BBC Coast co-creator, Steve Evanson. Steve has Edit Produced high profile shows for BBC ONE, BBC TWO and Channel 4.

This course will cover:

Edit fundamentals and Edit Prep

How to cut an interview

Techniques of great storytelling

Writing Voice Over

Managing the edit

Working with the Commissioner, Exec and PM

Introduction to Compliance Issues

The course is aimed at those who are new to the role or those with limited experience who want to hone their skills.

Freelance Rate: £350

Corporate Rate: £700

Bursaries, supported by Screen Scotland, to contribute to the costs of attending this course may be available to those who are eligible.
