Steve Evanson

Steve is at the heart of invention and creative leadership for some of our most successful TV shows, COAST, COUNTRYFILE, HARVEST, SECRET BRITAIN. His series get recommissioned, attract large audiences and widespread media attention.  He makes TV that gets talked about, and generates, repeat business. In New Media he's an award winning Series Producer, part of the team who secured the first BAFTA for Interactive media.

Steve was the Co-Creator and Series Editor of BBC COAST, a prime mover behind the show becoming a global brand. The novel 'Magazine Documentary' format of COAST that he helped pioneer is now widely imitated across factual productions world-wide. Another of my creative collaborations HARVEST was recommissioned by BBC TWO. He took the lead on re-formatting SECRET BRITAIN which was a hit for BBC ONE.

He is also passionate about media training, skills he began to develop while working in partnership with the Open University for 8 years. Steve have delivered Production Skills courses for the BBC Academy, The Mama Youth Project, Sheffield Doc Fest, Creative Access, Mediacorp in Singapore, and the University of The West of England (UWE), as well as being a mentor for the MEDIA TRUST and the Edinburgh TV Festival.
