Got some questions?

Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR MA, DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATE COURSES?

Our Master's degrees are a postgraduate qualification and are two years in length. Our MA courses are designed to give you in-depth knowledge and expertise in a particular specialisation. Applicants can come from a range of backgrounds, including undergraduate study or have a few years of relevant industry experience.

Diploma courses range from 6 months to 18 months in length, delivering specialist skills to prepare you for a job or professional role in the Industry. Applicants can come from undergraduate study, and/or have impressive portfolios, a creative track record or alternative qualifications. Diplomas offer more in-depth study compared to a Certificate course.

Certificate courses range from 8 weeks to 9 months in length and will introduce you to and give you a fundamental understanding of the area that you are studying. Applicants should have a good general education and be able to demonstrate their passion for the subject, but there are no specific entry requirements for Certificates.

Q: WHEN DO COURSES START?
A: Our MA and most Diploma courses commence in January each year, however some Diplomas do start in September and our Certificate and short courses run throughout the year. This information is included on each course page of our website.
Q: WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MA COURSES?
A: The key thing we look for in applicants is a passion for the subject they are applying for and that they can provide some evidence of that passion. Applicants normally also have an undergraduate degree. Those that don’t will generally have 3-4 years of relevant (not necessarily direct) experience in the specialisation they are intending on applying to. You must be 21 years of age by the time your course is due to start.
Q: CAN I APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE COURSE?
A: Yes! You are welcome to apply for more than one course, however we advise no more than three. Please bear in mind there is a £25 application fee for MA courses to be paid each time you apply.
Q: CAN I APPLY IF I’M AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT?
A: Absolutely! You can apply for all our MA and post graduate diplomas, including our Model Making and Production Management courses.
Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO HEAR WHETHER MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL?
A: It may take a number of weeks for an application to be processed, but we aim to deal with all applications and let you know the outcome as quickly as possible. In the meantime, if you are logged in to the website, and visit your dashboard, you will be able to see the current status of your application.
Q: WHAT ARE THE COURSE FEES?
A: Details of the fees, as well as additional costs, are available on each course page.
Q: WHAT ABOUT IF I HAVE A DISABILITY OR LEARNING DIFFERENCE?
A: Students are assessed as individuals according to their relevant skills, abilities and merits and all have equal access to learning opportunities within the School. We are actively seeking to redress imbalances within the Industry by encouraging dynamic people with appropriate talents and skills to apply, whatever their ethnic or national origin, age, gender, class, sexual orientation, disability, religious or political beliefs.
