Big Year For NFTS Graduates At Cannes 2023!

Last week the list of feature films selected for Festival de Cannes 2023 were announced and it’s going to be a big year for The National Film and Television School!

Screening during the festival, which runs 16-27th May, are four productions with NFTS alumni at the helm. After graduating from the NFTS just three short years ago, Molly Manning Walker’s directorial debut How to Have Sex is being shown in the Un Certain Regard section. The film covers the intimate and important story of three friends who contend with peer pressure in their decision to “do it”. In the same category is 2010 graduate Anthony Chen’s latest feature The Breaking Ice which follows the blossoming relationship among three young adults in their twenties and marks 10 years since Chen’s debut film Ilo Ilo was awarded the festival’s Camera d’Or for Best Debut Feature in 2013.
