2018: A Year to Remember for NFTS

2018 will go down as one of the School’s most memorable and action packed years. To say we were proud to be awarded the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema BAFTA is an understatement – it was a huge honour and fitting testament to all the hard work our students and staff have put in over the years – we are all most certainly #nftsandproud!

After enjoying a special preview of Walt Disney Studios Animation Ralph Breaks the Internet, NFTS students were enthralled by a highly informative masterclass from Oscar winning producer, Clark Spencer. Clark won a ‘Best Animated Feature’ Oscar for Zootopia in 2017 and has produced numerous much loved films for Disney including Lilo & Stitch, Bolt, Winnie the Pooh and Wreck-It Ralph.

The NFTS was delighted to welcome two Oscar winners to the school recently – Director Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash) and Screenwriter Josh Singer (The Post, Spotlight, The West Wing).  Josh and Damien gave an inspirational Masterclass about their acclaimed film together, First Man.
