"I graduated from the NFTS in 2005, was
nominated for an Academy Award in 2006 and joined Dreamworks
in 2006. All my heroes went to the Film School. Without scholarship
support, I would have never been able to come to the School
and realise my dreams."

Funding tomorrow's
filmmakers today
Some of the
most well-known current filmmakers are former NFTS students, including
Nick
Park (creator of Wallace and Gromit); Roger
Deakins (DoP Revolutionary Road, The Reader, No
Country for Old Men); David
Yates (Director, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince);
Beeban
Kidron (Director, Bridget Jones) and several others.
Most of them would not have been able to come to the School without
financial support.
To continue
to attract and retain the most talented students, regardless of
their financial means, we need to establish more scholarships. Fees
and maintenance costs for a home student (UK and EU) are around
£15,500 per annum. Coming to the School is therefore a major
financial commitment which few students can afford. Consequently,
scholarship support from individuals and corporate supporters is
vital in guaranteeing that we can continue training the most talented
students irrespective of their background.
We welcome small
and large donations towards the NFTS Scholarship Fund. Alternatively,
you may wish to become more closly involved with the life at the
School and its students by establishing your own named scholarship.
