Vision Mixing

This course will provide an intensive practical experience of mixing in a live studio, and will assist production assistants and other production personnel (including directors who would like to mix their own programmes) in learning how to vision mix programmes.

Using our studio facilities with a professional crew, participants will be able to learn across a variety of set-ups eg. a simple news interview, a 'music' programme and a magazine show.

Course Aims & Objectives:
To familiarise participants with the role of a vision mixer
To familiarise participants with the vision mixing desk
To understand the working relationship with a director

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Breakdown a gallery script
Perform a range of effects
Vision mix a variety of programmes

The Freelance rate for this course has been subsidised by Skillset’s Television Freelance Fund, in order to qualify for this subsidised rate you must be working in the UK television industry, and able to demonstrate relevant professional experience within the Audio Visual Industry and are not currently employed on a fixed term contract of more than 364 days.
