Michael Lee Taylor
Born in Surrey and raised in Devon, Michael gained his love for Dartmoor and the West Country coastline at an early age. On those less sunny days his passion for filmmaking and music recording developed. This led to a wide variety of relevant work experience, culminating in employment with the television production company Twofour as a camera and sound facilities assistant. Wishing to gain further knowledge and experience in sound recording he applied to the NFTS.
Michael loves working on every type of production. Working and liaising with almost every department at the NFTS has allowed him to develop and hone not only his technical but also his interpersonal skills. The opportunities the School has offered have been varied, with exciting situations and challenges to overcome, enabling him to develop as a Sound Recordist.
After graduating, Michael plans to pursue and develop a career as a Sound Assistant on dramas and a Sound Recordist for factual television and documentaries. His aim is to continue learning and developing, so that he may become a respected Sound Recordist within the industry.
