Before joining the NFTS I took a BA at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design (SIAD), graduating in 2002. My graduation film, Soap Dodgers, has since been screened at many festivals and was also awarded Best Drama at the New York Film and Video Festival. I then joined The Cathode Ray Mission (CRM Visuals) with two other graduates of SIAD, in order to create live and experimental visual installations for music and dance events. Working with CRM enabled me to be active in many different areas of production; to direct, edit and develop on a wide range of projects, including co-directing two music videos which have since been released on various channels world wide.
I decided to join the NFTS to further develop my understanding of editing and collaborative filmmaking. The past two years have been incredibly rewarding, both in terms of the confidence and skills I have gained, as well as the relationships I have built. I am currently editing a documentary for broadcast later this year and will also continue to be involved in The Cathode Ray Mission.
