There is an option to extend the course to gain experience working on MA Television Entertainment programmes. These are normally in production between September and November and participating Production Management students would be able to take up this option in the autumn after their course ends. If you are interested in this option, you should indicate this when applying for the course.
There is an opportunity during the course to do a work experience module. Training is provided through ShortCourses@NFTS, the professional training arm of the NFTS, ensuring that training reflects current Industry practices. You'll complete the course with a range of useful production skills that you've actively put to the test on shoots, and the confidence to work effectively in this fiercely competitive field.
Curriculum
Covering the key skills required by Production Managers in today's rapidly-changing environment, the course alternates training modules with practical experience working on a range of productions at the NFTS including documentary, animation, fiction and television entertainment. You'll have the chance to work on studio shoots as well as on location across the range of NFTS productions.The course covers these key skills recognised by the Industry
