Digital Post Production

Curriculum

This unique modular course has been designed to keep pace with changes in technology and Industry practice.

Students learn by experience to develop/design, schedule and manage the digital post of NFTS productions by acting as digital post production supervisors or producers, at the same time as operating the systems to create visual fx, grade, online, master and deliver the projects.

Understanding the processes and technology is very important, and students will graduate with a solid technical understanding of standard definition and high definition formats, film stocks and formats, digital film and colour theory, and audio formats.

Working closely with Industry partners, students will also benefit from a wide range of workshops and masterclasses run by Industry professionals. Carefully selected practical work placements may also be available.

In the fast-moving area of digital post production there are tremendous opportunities for a successful and rewarding career. The NFTS holds a unique position in film and television whereby it can offer an invaluable “bridge to the Industry” to help graduates establish themselves in a new career.
